Unexpected spaceweather arrived 11 June and didn't last long, fading away on 12 June.
A forecast was quickly compiled with mixed success.
The 12 June Milford Sound 5.3 was a loose fit to the map but the forecast should've been extended for a day.
The 16 June Te Kaha 5.1 was in a risk location but well outside the timing parameter.
The previous 27 May-7 June forecast summary added that in the time between forecast periods, any quakes were more likely to be in risk locations from the recent period.
This has been an example case where the Te Kaha 5.1 came in a risk location from the previous 11 June period.
Quakes, if any, between forecast periods are more likely to be in risk locations from the previous forecast period.
